OraDump Export Kit is a collection of conversion tools to export data from Oracle dump file into most popular formats. The program has high performance due to direct connection to data source and destination databases (it does not use ODBC or any other middleware software). Command line support allows to script, automate and schedule the conversion process.

Limitations

Requirements

• Supported OS: Windows XP(SP2 or SP3)/2003/Vista/Server 2008/7/8/10, Linux with WINE
• Microsoft SQL environment for OraDump-to-MSSQL (server or client components of MS SQL must be installed on the same machine where you run the program from)
• Necessary privileges to write into the destination database

Quick Launch

Once you stored conversion settings into profile you can run the program in Quick Launch mode. Just launch Windows Explorer and double-click on the profile description file with left mouse button. This will cause the corresponding OraDump export tool to launch conversion loading the necessary settings from the specified profile. Then you will be taken right to the screen with progress of conversion without entering all conversion settings.

How to process parallel export Oracle dump files

To speed up exporting data into dump Oracle allows export operation to be executed by multiple threads that are working at the same time. Each thread generates output in its own file, so the result of the parallel export job is a set of files. OraDump Export Kit can extract data from the first file of that set only. To read the entire data it is necessary to merge all file of parallel export into one with ormerge.exe tool that can be found in the installation folder. It is a console utility that accepts the following arguments:

ordmerge.exe <dumpfile#1> <dumpfile#2> ... <dumpfile#N> <resulting file>

Then OraDump Export Kit should be run against the resulting file.

Customize table structure

Manual table structure customization can be accessed by double click on the corresponding table name in "Selected tables" list of "Select Tables" wizard page.

This will cause the following dialog box to appear:

To customize type mapping select the appropriate item in the listview on the left and specify new name, type and default value for the field using "Field info" group of controls. Please note that listview on the left contains column attributes of the original types mapping, new custom types and attributes will be displayed in "Field info" controls when the corresponding item is highlighted in the listview.

Subscription for updates

As every Intelligent Converters product, OraDump Export Kit is supplied with subscription for updates (see Terms for certain Edition in the table below). It means that you will receive new versions of the software included in OraDump Export Kit for free within subscription period. Moreover, you will receive all new utilities for migration from Oracle dump file that will be released during that period.
